There are many kinds of situations that may cause the computer audio to have noise, such as the speaker being disturbed, the interface or the connecting line being poorly contacted, and the audio itself being poor in quality. Generally speaking, most computer stereos are active speakers, and there must be amplifiers inside them, so noise is inevitable. The noise of active speakers can be roughly divided into electromagnetic disturbance, mechanical noise and thermal noise according to their origin.
Electromagnetic disturbance can be mainly divided into power transformer disturbance and stray electromagnetic wave disturbance. Generally speaking, the disturbance of the power transformer is caused by the magnetic leakage of the power supply of the multimedia speaker. When conditions permit, it is very important to install a shielding cover for the transformer, which can block the magnetic leakage to the maximum extent. The shielding cover can only be made of iron type materials. We should try our best to choose products with large brands and thick materials. In addition, the use of external transformers is also a good solution.
Stray electromagnetic wave disturbances are common. Speaker wires, frequency dividers, wireless devices, or computer hosts will all become the sources of disturbances. Keep the main speaker away from the computer host as far as possible under the allowed conditions, and reduce the surrounding wireless equipment. Mechanical noise is unique to active speakers. During the operation of the power transformer, mechanical noise will occur due to the core vibration caused by the alternating magnetic field, which is very similar to the buzzing noise announced by the fluorescent lamp ballast.
Choosing good quality products is still the best way to prevent such noise. In addition, we can add a rubber damping layer between the transformer and the fixed plate. It should also be noted that if the potentiometer is used for a long time, poor contact will occur between the metal brush and the diaphragm due to dust accumulation and wear, and noise will occur when rotating.
