Placement of subwoofers

Let's take a look at the placement of the subwoofer. Because the low-frequency wave is long and not directional, it can be placed in a corner. But at this point, two points must be noted: firstly, the subwoofer should never be placed on objects that are prone to resonance, such as lightweight computer desks. Once this is done, when the subwoofer is working, the table also vibrates, which has a significant impact on the sound quality; 2、 The rear of the subwoofer must not be tightly attached to the wall. This is because many subwoofers have a reverse phase design. If the inverted hole is facing backwards, without a certain distance, the bass cannot be played. Therefore, at least a distance from the wall is also necessary.

Placement of satellite boxes

Let's take a look at how to dispose of satellite speakers again. First of all, let's talk about the front speaker. It's best to have an angle of 45-60 degrees with the ear, and the distance between the left and right speakers is determined by the position of the listener, that is, the distance between the listener and the display. Generally speaking, the front speaker can be placed parallel to the listener at the same height as possible.

Middle speaker placement

However, there is only one principle for the middle speakers - the placement must be in the front, that is, the vertical bisector of the left and right speakers. Although the distance between the front and back does not matter, it is still best to try to be moderate. As for surround speakers, they should be placed face to face with the front speaker or at a 60 degree angle to the human ear, preferably hanging at the rear and 60 to 90 centimeters above the head.

In short, a well positioned 5.1 system should be well positioned without any faults. Just like a bullet passing through the sky, there should be a very complete sense of position change. If there is no such feeling or the feeling is not significant, you need to adjust the position of your speaker. And the voice dialogue should come from the middle, feeling like the speaker is in front of you. In terms of low frequency, the 5.1 system emphasizes shock and should have a good contrast effect on dynamic scenes. The higher the quality of the 5.1 system, the more powerful and majestic the low-frequency is.
