We know that the final effect of any sound reinforcement system will be affected by two aspects: the sound reinforcement system itself and the use environment. Therefore, the howling of the conference room sound system may be the result of the combined use of these two unfavorable factors.

In general, the analysis of the causes of howling needs to be combined with the field analysis, and the common main reasons are:

1. The walls around the meeting room are made of plastic aluminum plates and other materials to form a smooth interface, with strong sound reflection. The strong reflected sound enters the microphone and is amplified by the system to generate positive feedback, causing howling.

2. The installation position of the loudspeaker is poor. A pair of speakers are placed at two corners of the conference room. Because the height of the sound emitted by them is equal to that of the microphone, the direct sound or the sound reflected by the wall is easier to enter the microphone, which is inevitable.

3. The speaker is too far away from the microphone, which causes the sound to be light. However, when the volume is increased, due to the limitation of sound transmission gain, there will also be howling.

4. The system has no electronic acoustic feedback suppressor, which is also easy to generate squeal.

5. The space of the meeting room is narrow and the sound wave diffusion is poor.

6. There is a peak value at a certain frequency in the sound characteristics of the loudspeaker. What if there is a peak value? The microphone will keep receiving the peak value, and the audio will keep playing back the peak value. Many times a second, the peak value will be magnified indefinitely until the equipment is damaged.
