Reasons and solutions for noise in a professional audio system

(1) Good ground treatment. In order to make the cables with a shielding layer shielding the outside world's strange electromagnetic interference, the shielding layer must have the correct connection and good grounding. Equipment suspension is a measure without special ground line conditions, which is an unstable working state. Random noise is often generated. Therefore, there must be a special ground line. In the outdoor places, it can be buryed temporarily. The simple way is to insert the underground with steel pipes or aluminum alloy pipes.


In order to ensure that the system does not have a ground circuit structure, there can be only one ground wire interconnection between equipment. In the case of not rigorous, the unbalanced equipment can be suspended, and the ground line of the next -level device through the audio signal line is used, that is, the chain ground is used. This chain -shaped ground level should not be too many, generally not more than two levels, otherwise the noise will be severely increased.

(2) System isolation. In some large audio systems. It is often composed of many subsystems. Most of these systems are long -distance connections, and they all have independent grounding systems. Once the two systems are connected, they will inevitably form ground noise. On the other hand, due to the long transmission distance and the ground resistance of the transmission line shielding layer, it is easy to introduce a large number of external electromagnetic field radiation interference noise.


In practice, if each system works alone, the noise can be controlled in the allowed level through reasonable connection and grounding. However, when the two subsystems are interconnected, even if a single -ended shielding grounding and long -term segmented grounding treatment are used, there is no way to solve the radiation interference noise caused by long -distance transmission. At this time, a good way is to install an audio isolation transformer. Installing audio isolation transformers between the two systems to isolate each other, the ground lines of the two systems must not be connected.
