The audio equipment is afraid of vibration, which will affect the sound quality. Vibration sources that affect audio equipment include: driving motor, magnetic induction of transformer, sound reproduction by loudspeaker, etc. Good shock absorption will not only make the sound bass firm, good control, and improve the level and analysis; And the sound field is wider and the positioning is more accurate.
Sound equipment should be calm and heavy
For example, the heavier materials of power amplifiers should be transformers, heat sinks and enclosures.
Transformer weight: it means that the internal copper wire is wound more, the current will be larger, and the relative output power will be larger.
Heat sink weight: it means that the heat sink is large and has good heat dissipation capacity, and the power amplifier can withstand longer boot time.
Case weight: it means that the whole machine is relatively stable and has strong shock absorption capacity.
For example, the weight of the speaker box: the thicker the plate used, the stronger the ability to control resonance, the better the anti-interference, and the smaller the sound pollution.
1. Impact on power amplifier
Electrolytic capacitors will generate noise when subjected to mechanical vibration. The power transformer will produce mechanical vibration. External acoustic wave will cause mechanical vibration of equipment. Although these vibrations and noises are not easy to detect, for power amplifiers that process and amplify weak audio signals, they will have an impact on the sound quality: the analytical power decreases, the transparency becomes poor, and the noise increases.
2. Impact on sound source
In CD player or rotary table, there are rotating parts of mechanical drive system, which is the source of mechanical vibration. In design, the rotating system is set at the center of the machine and supported by several shock feet, which is an ideal method to overcome vibration. For the rotary table or digital analog conversion circuit (DAC), when affected by internal and external mechanical vibration of the equipment, the vibration of the movement or the whole machine will be transmitted to the record, thus modulating the audio signal, making the sound mixed, increasing the distortion and noise.
As far as the equipment itself is concerned, high stability is achieved mainly by increasing the overall weight and adopting symmetrical layout structure to maintain weight balance. In use, avoid overlapping the audio equipment (this is a wrong way of placement, because the vibration between the equipment will interact). Correct method: Place the equipment separately on a solid and stable equipment rack.
3. Impact on horn
When the horn box vibrates, it will cause resonance, and the sound wave radiated from the box wall will directly interfere with the sound wave directly radiated by the horn, leading to the deterioration of sound quality. The horn unit itself is a vibrating body. The horn box shall be stable and thick as a whole. Let the speaker sing loudly and dance vigorously, and let the music shake the heart in the box, but the box should not be moved.
