Debugging steps for audio equipment in multimedia conference rooms

Sep 06,2023

1、 Check if the system is properly connected.

The correct connection of the system is the foundation for satisfying audio debugging. According to the system configuration connection diagram, carefully check the line connection and power system, preset the function buttons of the audio device, and ensure that the microphone has sufficient power.

2、 Adjust the position of the horn.

The main speakers should be placed on both sides of the conference stage, with a bass speaker at the bottom, a mid range speaker in the middle, and a tweeter speaker at the top. If the radiation areas of two speakers correspond to each other, the sound quality will be greatly improved. Do not place potted plants, desk lamps, or porcelain statues on the speakers. Otherwise, when an object falls due to speaker vibration, the meeting may be interrupted.

3、 Turn on the power amplifier and set the level.

After confirming that the audio system and hardware in the multimedia conference room are working properly, turn on the equipment power, turn on the power amplifier, and set the level to high. Adjust the mixer input gain on the mixer indicator light to 0dB, slowly push up the mixer output knob, and adjust the knob according to the sound inside the speaker to obtain better volume. To ensure good debugging results, it is recommended to use a phase detector to check whether each speaker is in phase.

4、 Avoid making loud noises.

Push the push rod of the mixer channel to 0 dB, place the microphone on the conference platform, turn on the monitoring output, find the frequency band where the microphone causes noise, and adjust the equalizer settings to eliminate it. The microphone should be kept away from the speaker and the platform position can be adjusted appropriately if necessary. The working range must be small to keep the whistle at a stable level, and then adjust it to be more accurate
