Common faults and solutions of professional audio

Nov 16,2022

1. The sound is very unclear, and the specific content cannot be heard clearly: this kind of fault is generally caused by the damage of the tweeter, the broken signal line or the damage of the tweeter amplifier integrated block. Sometimes it may be the failure caused by the change of sound card settings.

2. There is noise when the machine is turned on, which cannot be cleared: this kind of fault is generally caused by the sound system equipment being used for a long time and the inability to dissipate heat, resulting in the sound system overheating and damage.

3. The sound of the computer is normal. After a period of use, it will make a "buzzing" sound: this kind of fault is that the integrated power amplifier circuit is not completely damaged, but only when it is overheated. That is to say, the radiator with good quality can be replaced, or the chassis can be opened, and the problem can be solved by increasing the area of the scattered pieces of the integrated power amplifier circuit.

4. Turn on the power switch of the professional audio, and the horn does not make a "bang" when it is turned on normally; Turn the volume of the audio system to the maximum, and then turn on the power to see if there is a "bang" sound. If there is no sound, the driver of the sound card may be wrong or the sound may be faulty, or the sound may be muted or the volume may be too low. If there is a sound, it means there is no problem. In addition, the signal line plug is not plugged properly, or the signal line is disconnected.

5. When the volume is adjusted, the volume is turned up and down, and a crackling sound occurs: this fault is generally caused by a problem with the phasor used to adjust the volume. The simplest way to solve this problem is to replace a phasor, which is relatively cheap.

6. The sound can be played normally, but "crackling" noises can be heard from time to time: this kind of fault is mainly caused by the problem of the power socket. The poor quality and elasticity of the phosphor copper sheet used in the poor quality power socket will be eliminated after a long time. The simplest and most convenient way is to replace a high-quality power socket.

7. One speaker sounds loud and the other speaker sounds low: this fault is also a problem with the potentiometer, because the left and right channels of the volume potentiometer are independent. Adjust the reed by hand to make it work normally. There is sound, but only high voice, but no bass: This fault is mainly due to the excessive volume of the conference speaker, which causes problems with the subwoofer, and may also cause the thread head to break. Replace it with a new thread head.
